About those Sock Creatures
Let me start by introducing you to my daughter Chelsea. She has inherited the craft/baking/sewing gene from her mom (I'm happy to say).
Can you see the gene???
I think Kelly and Chelsea (cousins) look more like the same gene pool... (Kelly has the craft/baking /sewing gene too. I'm digressing...)
I brought this book home called Stupid Sock Creatures by John Murphy. When Chelsea came home for the weekend she saw the book, loved it and wanted to make one. She doesn't mess around; soon we were both happily bumping into each other in my sewing room (I'll show you my projects in the next post)!
First Chelsea made the Creature with pink hearts , went to a movie, then stayed up until 3:00 making a second one! Where does she get the energy! She happily packed them off to college with her...
They are so cute!!! I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

Kindness & Sock Creatures
What do sock creatures have to do with kindness? Nothing really! Except this pair just look like they really like each other. They look like buddies, best buds, good friends. I think they would practice kindness on a daily basis. What do you think? (more on these sock creatures in my next post)!
What acts of kindness did you witness or participate in today?

Quilt Day!
Jolyn is making a cross as a Christmas gift. She is very talented. I'll have to share more of her amazing needlework with you later.
Jolyn also made this adorable pin cushion. It's made using an old zinc canning lid as the base and wool for the cushion with cute little wool flowers as the decoration. We all freaked out over it and said we had to have one! So next month we are all making them!
Debbie found a beautiful quilt at a yard sale. But at some point a huge hopscotch game was zig zag appliqued all over the back. Now she is patiently undoing the hopscotch and restoring the quilt to it's original glory. Do you think they really played hopscotch on it?
Susan is always doing something amazing....
We were (okay, I was) trying to steal this bag that Susan knitted and felted. Don't you just love it! I told you she's amazing...
I think this bag really needs to go home with me...
We celebrated Sherryl and Laurie's birthdays...
Laurie is giving Sherryl a lesson on using a needle threader. If you don't have one you should run out and get one now!!! They're fantastic...
Another great Quilt Day...
