High School Friends

After the Barn House Sale, I went to a "get together" with some friends from high school. Some I keep in touch with, some I haven't seen in ten years and others I had not seen since I graduated in 1980 (do the math)! Scott hosted the party and we found out that our kids go to the same high school and two of them just graduated and know each other! Small world...

It was great catching up with everyone...

A Great Weekend at Barn House!!!

What a great weekend! The Barn House Flea Market was so much fun! It started with set up on Friday (11 hours)!!! My neice Kelly saved the day. She came out and waved her magic merchandising wand and made everything look great! Kelly did all that for us after a crazy week of Vacation Bible School (she is the children's Pastor at her church). She's amazing...

This is Kelly and her son Sawyer...

Worthy Goods tent (Me and Debbie).

This is our new friend Little ByRD. I don't have a picture of her but her sign is really cute don't you think??? Debbie and I had a great time getting to know her and oohing and aahing over all her great things. She is very talented I couldn't resist buying a great handmade wool bag from her...

The weather cooperated, the shoppers were out in full force, it was a successful flea market!

A big thanks to Joe and Jermonne. They were spectacular hosts to all of the vendors and shoppers. Go to their Barn House blog to read more...

Shasta 2008

Shasta was great this year. We had four families and four house boats. It was hot and it was fun!

We left Portland at 5:30am and arrived at Shasta around 1:00. Not bad... The temps fluctuated between 110 and 114. Like I said, it was hot!

These are some of the ways we stayed cool! Laurie Melberg (above) was a beast on the jet ski!!!

We did a little cliff jumping. Notice in Gary's picture how high up the cliff he is? Now look at mine. Not very high... I was scared out of my mind! But it was fun!

One night we were all sitting out on the back of our house boats relaxing and Gary gets this great idea... something about doing a back flip off the back off a jet ski at 35mph... He actually got on the ski and did it! Not a very bright idea but slightly impressive (mostly because he didn't get hurt)! Jerry Burns followed shortly after and also made a successful launch!

Another great year at Shasta!!!

Weekend Treasures Find New Homes

After back to back weekend sales (Flourishes and Barn House) I came home with a few treasures of my own. What do you do with your great finds? Well, here are a few of mine...

This is my very favorite purchase. I bought it from Natalie (Sparrow). I love it! It makes me feel good every time I walk by. I'm sure it will be finding all sorts of uses around here! Love, love, love it!

This sweet little birdouse found a new home (thanks Joe)...

I purchased this wicker chair with the intent to sell it at the Barn House Flea Market on July 26th, but I kinda like it! Slip cover the cushions add a few pillows...

I bought the gorgeous soaps from Susan (Couture Junquie) and the pretty towell from my business partner and sister-in-law Debbie (Worthy Goods).

Another Barn House purchase. This stack of linens will be finding new uses. Don't you love to repurpose things? They get a whole new life!

This is from Flourishes, (Tammy Gilley). My mother-in-law saw me eyeing it and bought it for me. I think it's my new favorite color. Thanks Carolyn!!!

More sweet things...

Happy Shopping!
