Catch of the Day!

Thursday morning found us (me, husband and kids) in the breathtaking Columbia River Gorge fishing for Spring Chinook...

these are some of the views from our boat...

I just like this one...

the many faces of Chelsea...

the many faces of Blake...

the kids said I was having a bad hair day, so I tried to fix it. Blake grabbed my camera and caught all the action (teenagers can be horribly blunt when it comes to hair and fashion)...
he's the best...

salmon fishing usually requires a huge amount of patience, we waited and waited...

suddenly Blake is on his feet yelling to Chelsea that she's got a bite! Whoohoo! What a crazy bunch of action there was on that boat. Blake and I were reeling in the other lines, Gary was grabbing the net and Chelsea was on that rod like salmon on bait! Very exciting...

Chelsea landed that beautiful Spring Chinook! It was a keeper...

we ended the day by having a great dinner at Skamania lodge...

it was a perfect day...
