"People often say that in a democracy, decisions are made by a majority of the people. Of course, that is not true. Decisions are made by a majority of those who make themselves heard and who vote -- a very different thing." --- Walter H. Judd
Just a reminder that next Tuesday, November 4th is election day. Whether you're a republican, democrat, independent, give yourself a voice and vote! In Oregon we vote by mail so my hubby and I made it fun. We took all of our stuff and went out to dinner and voted while we were waiting. Get creative and make it a memorable experience or just get it done at home. Either way, get out and vote you'll be glad you did!!!
Don't forget to mail your vote! In Oregon it has to be at the Clerk's office by election day (in other words it can't be post marked)...
Pat yourself on the back for a job well done...

Amen! Thanks for saying it in such a refreshingly un-biased way.
I will be dropping my ballot off at the library on Election Day, but I've been feeling a bit snarkish about it lately because I'm so tired of how negative the politics have been.
You reminded me that I don't have to let "them" get to me!
vote? for what??? there's an election going on? I didn't realize! Just kidding...okay fine i'll vote...this is going to be a crazy fight i can't wait for it to be over! i love you!
I just filled out my ballot today. I'm going to pop it in the mail tomorrow :o) thanks for the happy reminder!

Thanks Lor for the reminder. I think its great that our
civic duty has become somewhat of a "cool" thing to do. But not cool at all if we dont remember. love you...
Oh! Look at that. A fellow Oregonian! I put mine in the mail today and then found out today was the last day we can do that! Eeek, good thing I didn't try it tomorrow!
Happy weekend! :-)

I love that you and dad voted at the Hanger. I miss it.
I sent in my ballot today! I e-mailed you a picture : )
I love you Mommy, glad you voted! Even if our ballots looked a little different : )
I love seeing you voting. My hubby and I did a whole thing at the kitchen table - all very exciting. I like the connivence of mail-in... but I sure miss going to a public place to vote.
