Freedom and Fun

We are driven by five genetic needs: survival, love and belonging, power, freedom and fun... William Glasser

I found this quote after I titled this post. I really like it and I'll tell you why... We survived our second season as Worthy Goods girls! There is so much love and belonging found in the community of being a vendor and our family and friends. Power (or confidence) comes through hard work and courage to try new things. Freedom and fun came this weekend when there were no sales to get ready for and nothing but fun, family and friends on the agenda (and a little shopping too)!!!

It started Thursday around 4:00... my husband had just left town for a little fishing trip. As soon as his truck was out of the driveway I zipped over to Home Depot and bought paint for our bedroom. I have been staring at paint chips for almost 5 months now! I found the one I loved and finally had the time to get to it...

My bedroom went from this ...

to this...

While the paint was drying I gave our neglected back porch a little makeover...

Before...

after...

The fun and freedom continued Saturday with Debbie and I shopping at Cindy's fabulous barn sale at Tarte. She looked fantastic and went all out for the occasion as usual! This picture was borrowed from Annie, Fannie and Abigail check out their blog to see more!

After the fabulous Tarte sale we were off to a first birthday party for our great nephew, Kaden. Happy Birthday Kaden!!!

After the party, a quick trip to Monticello to check on our new space! Yes we are proud to announce that we have a perfect little space at Monticello Antique Marketplace! Come by for a visit...
Sunday morning started out with this gorgeous sunrise and a few moments to enjoy the beauty of a crisp, fall morining...

The grand finale was a shopping trip with Debbie to the Antique and Collectibles Show at the Expo Center...
We shopped till we dropped, saw lots of friends and had a great time...
Wishing you a little freedom and fun...
Laurie

Your new bedroom looks lovely. You certainly squeeze a lot into your time - do you ever just sit down and have a cup of tea? It's taken me weeks of on and off work to paint my son;s bedroom - I wish I had your energy!

Laurie---you absolutely ROCK, girl! Please come make over my house ;)

Look at all you've accomplished this year with your pal Debbie, and all by yourself in your own life. You should be so proud...we are all so glad for your happiness.
